A Rural Education Workshop by Nirantar Prawah Foundation-Igniting Young Minds Through Stories and Yoga –April 2025
Staying true to our vision that “No One Left Behind,” the Nirantar Prawah Foundation recently conducted a four-days immersive workshop at the Primary School in Jakh Village, nestled in the picturesque hills of District Chamoli, Uttarakhand.
The workshop was more than a training—it was an experience, carefully crafted to introduce creative storytelling and basic yoga practices to young children in a way that would inspire, engage, and uplift.
What unfolded over those four days was a beautiful exchange of knowledge, culture, and warmth—a rare confluence of education and emotion.
Key Achievements
- Revived student interest in school through engaging formats
- Built emotional and cultural bridges via storytelling
- Introduced yoga as a tool for physical and mental well-being
- Strengthened bonds between school, home, and community
- Positioned Nirantar Prawah Foundation as a trusted educational ally
Looking Ahead – Towards a Stronger Educational Ecosystem
Buoyed by the success of this initiative, plans are in motion for follow-up programs, including parent-teacher, storytelling sessions and advanced yoga workshops for children. We aim to deepen our relationship with Jakh village and expand such models across similar underserved communities.
